After success with E-mood line, Duravit once again demonstrates the importance of lighting in the bathroom. Mirrowall is the minimalist mirror wall system for a bathroom created by German designer Herbert Schultes. His idea was not to break up the space by installing stand-alone units. He combined washbasin, mirror, storage system and awesome lighting system into one product. Mirrowall is very interesting product. It has one or two ceramic basins which beautifully reflected in the mirrors behind them. Besides usual lighting on the top of the wall it could be made with additional LED lighting to make soft, radiant light in red, blue, green or yellow to suit your mood. Herbert Schultes
Japanese design is always very interesting and uses a lot of hi-tech technologies. Luna Crystal is the one-piece bowl and counter which features an embedded LED to illuminate the bowl portion in a soft, moon-like ring of light that makes it seem as if one is washing their hands in radiant moonlight. It’s made from epoxy resins developed by TOTO in 2003 which have heat and impact resistance. The bowl already won 2008 Good Design Award. TOTO

The Symbol Yin-Yang represents the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work. Rapsel implements this idea in their washing basin design. Like the symbol represent the interaction of two energies, washing basin represents the interaction of water and gravity. Yin is usually characterized as slow while Yang, by contrast, is characterized as fast or aggressive. The same analogy Rapsel saw in water flowing inside the basin. In addition to interesting shape, such coloring makes this washing basin looks contemporary but not minimalistic. Rapsel
