Now you can talk on the phone or listen to the TV or the radio in your kitchen while the dishwasher is running. A combination of sound reducing material and the Slim Direct Drive Motor decrease the noise level. The stainless steel blade breaks up food particles which are then flushed down the drain, leaving you no messy baskets to empty. 24 inches of usable capacity in the stainless steel tub allow you to wash up to 16 place settings or a variety of pots, pans, flatware, and stemware. Visible controls and status display keep you informed of the cycle progress while still providing a beautiful exterior appearance. Semi-Integrated Dishwasher with Easy-Access Controls and Visible Status Display. From LG

Hello, I’m the author of a new book, Our Appliances: Home Improvement Repair, which I thought would be of interest to your blogging community. It’s a satire of life in suburbia as told through a discussion of the family’s appliances (suburban Connecticut). The book starts with a discussion of the “kenmore Unit,” our just-purchased dishwasher, and records the history of problems we had with it. Anyhow, I have some unique perspectives that may be of interest. Thank you, xavier a cronin

I have had this dishwasher for 5 months now and I would not recommend it. It is extremely quiet, but not consistent. Dishes are not always clean, detergent is frequently clumped up in the dispenser, and it does not dry the dishes at all. I do use a rinse agent and open the door at the end of the cycle – but that’s not always convenient.

We’ve found that leaving the door close at the end of the cycle will result in dryer dishes. Very satisfied. Had one error DE which was a plugged drain, which it was.
